– I was just informed by the accounts department to remove Absolute Poker and Ultimate Bet from the list of sites that accepted Washington State. As far as I know, only Bodogpoker.com is the only half way decent site that accepts WA citizens.

Also, the most substantial news was that the Governor of New Jersey will not sign the bill to regulate online gambling in their state. It was basically at sign and go status but he vetoed it basically saying it would interfere with tourism, but from the articles I read it sounds like corruption played its part…New Jersey will not be the first regulated online gaming state in the US.

– Mainly used for sportsbook and casino processing, Goldpay has left the US gambling deposit market. Citing “legal reasons” they have ceased communicating with customers, answering emails, and allowing use of Goldpay.

– I was reading Parttime Poker and they were saying that yes, there is yet another bill for online poker on its way. I’m not even going to bother talking about it until it has a chance to get voted on, waste of time. Also according to Calvinayre.com the US government is no longer hunting down international online gaming operators that may be trying to come to the US. If I was Calvin, I wouldn’t exactly be heading to Vegas though!

– Tonight at 10pm EST will be a 60 minutes episode on CNBC about online betting. It is called “Illegal….and Thriving”. It will detail how we could be profiting on what 12 million Americans already do. It looks like they have some old rehashed clips about the UB/AP scandals and a profile of Steve Wynn on prior to the new show. I’m interested to see what kind of light they spin off this time, the “recap” sounds positive at least.
