Bodog aka (Bovada) has a casino, sportsbook, and poker room in one. The casino will work on a Mac or Linux but the poker room will only work on Mac or Windows. Please see here for more Macintosh compatible poker sites. The bonus is sweet because you get 10% of your deposit when you join. The money is credited instantly.
To play on a Mac you need to choose the “Instant Play” option for casino. The casino at Bodog / Bovada has the Instant Play software and uses Java.
Bodog / Bovada Casino Sign Up Bonus
The sign up bonus is great, 100% up to $500. The cash is released instantly but their requirements must be met in order to cashout. Unfortunately for me I lost $50 so I didn’t have to worry about cashing out the first time. The bonus must be rolled over 10-15 times in order to cash it out.

Deposit Options at Bodog Casino
The deposit/withdraw options have become limited at Bodog since the UIGEA but it’s still possible. A note of advice, it is easier to just call Bovada / Bodog customer support and deposit over the phone. Currently the deposit options are credit cards (generally only VISA at first) which has a 4.9% fee attached. The max deposit is $2,000 per week up to $8000 per month with a minimum of $20 on your first deposit. The other U.S. option is “Rapid Transfer” which is simply a moneygram/western union cash transfer. This option is free if you deposit over $300. Neteller and Bank Wire are available to International customers using the Bodog platform.
Withdraw Options
Payout options include check by Check by Courier, Rapid Transfer or Bank Wire. The first check withdraw of the month is free but after that they charge you $50 a pop. There is a $50 fee for bank wires. For Non US – International customers most options are free.
Instant Play Games for Macs
The selection is not enormous but is average. The table games consist of Blackjack, Caribbean Stud, Craps, Let’em Ride, Pai Gow Poker, Roulette, Keno and Tri-Card Poker. Actually since my last review of Bodog – Bovada they have added quite a bit of games and upgraded the software to Flash instead of an in-play browser while using the Instant Play version. There are 14 table games, 30 slots, 17 video poker, 32 progressives and 4 ‘specialty games’ although the specialty games seemed to just be table games already mentioned. This casino DOES have European Roulette.
Slots and Video Poker
In the Slots category we have Food Fight, Cleopatra’s Gold, and 7’s & Stripes. Video poker games consist of Deuces Wild, Jacks or Better, Joker Poker, Poker Deluxe, and Bonus Deuces Wild. Overall not too many games but they hit the basics. In total there are 30 slot games using the Instant Play software.

Best Attributes of Bodog Casino
The way Bodog/Bovada is set up everything is right there in front of you and it’s very easy to navigate. The instant cash bonus is also a great aspect and the software all around has really improved both for casino and poker (although not Mac compatible for poker).
Worst Attributes of Bodog
I lost my money in a matter of 5 minutes. No, even though my review could be biased because of that it’s not. I have nothing but positives to say about the casino. Their play money poker games are compatible with Macs and now the real money games are as well. As a US customer I wish they had more deposit options and you were allowed more than 1 free withdraw per month.
Bodog Casino Cashout Speed
After having to deposit twice to finally get to cashout we found the process to be very quick. Depending on how you cashout it can vary. Check cashouts took about a week to arrive while other cashouts that were done electronically took less than 24hours. On the website they say it can generally take up to 25 days for a cashout.
