Cryptologic, a leading online casino and poker software provider, has announced that it has extended and expanded its contract with World Poker Tour.

WPT is one of the world’s top gaming brands and has been working with Cryptologic for the past year.

The new and improved package and deal that Cryptologic will deliver to World Poker Tour is that the internet casino offering will be expanded, new and improved Spanish and German language poker rooms will be added and WPT will exclusively use Cryptologic’s award winning software until at least the second quarter of 2011. 

Brian Hadfield, Cryptologic’s president and CEO said that in less than one year Cryptologic and World Poker Tour have managed to join forces to produce an amazing experience for online casino and poker players from around the globe. He said that the continued joint working relationship is proof of the companies’ success and that every player in the industry will benefit. 

World Poker Tour began using software powered by Cryptologic in 2007, which allowed players to enjoy online poker action and 13 top casino games. This next level of service has added multi-language poker rooms and an extended agreement with Wagerlogic, Cryptologic’s subsidiary, which will allow WPT to upgrade to a comprehensive internet casino with over 200 games. 

In turn, Cryptologic’s views WPT as a leading and promising gaming brand with potential for increased volumes of player registration and, as a result, revenue. WPT is currently focused on marketing and leveraging its television properties in Europe’s markets, which are known to be one of the fastest-growing in the industry. The soon-to-be-added Spanish and German poker rooms will be a valuable asset to attracting new European players. 

CEO and Founder of WPT, Steve Lipscomb, has said that the company’s partnership with Cryptologic, based on its solid reputation, industry-proven software and adaptability, has been one of the main reasons for WPT’s players enjoying an unparalleled gaming experience around the world.
