Apple has given the press something to talk about before the Christmas Season. It’s the new iTV box for our viewing pleasure.

Not often does Apple give us sneak peaks at products before they come out like they are doing with the Apple iTV.  Usually we hear word of mouth or rumors spread from our cousins, cousin who has a brother that works at Apple.

But now we’re getting all we can handle with the iTV.  Here is a little bit about the new product by Apple.  Owners of the product will be capable of watching movies, TV programs, listening to music and viewing other media from the internet.  This is just what Apple has told us, there may be more to come.

Currently a lot of this stuff is possible with iPod videos and such but quality is down in the dirt.  Everyone knows how difficult this procedure can be anyway.  Apple seems to be streamlining things to not only make it easier, but with higher quality.  Plus, the new iTV just might sell more movies on iTunes.

So the question on your mind right now is how much and when?  Well Apple and other media sources are speculating that the iTV’s will arrive sometime in the next 3-6 months.  The price will mostly likely start at $300.

The Apple iTV may look just like the Mac mini but it’s not to be confused.  It’s about half the size but you won’t be able to use it for searching the internet.  The iTV will also be completely wireless.

There will be a USB port which will more than likely be for hooking up your iPod to get access to all your movies and such.  Macworld.com is suggesting that it could possibly also have videoconferencing capabilities.
